My experience after Salvia Divinorum.
Salvia Divinorum is a strong hallucinogenic plant that when smoked gives a very unique and almost "Un-English-able" experience. There is a reason a name for it is literally "sage of the diviners". For me the initial experience was, interesting to say the absolute least about it. What I believed and what it looked like are hilariously different. However, It wasn't until after I was given a small amount to own that things began to get strange. I had taken another trip inducing hit on my own, in which I experienced a scene from the Divine Comedy, and somehow came up with the brilliant idea to "Lace my recreational Blunt with the substance. This is something I already do not recommend.
The Salvia itself comes from mexico. No one has really studied it, outside user reports, to know how it scientifically is effecting the body and all those cool CSI type details. However, From first hand experience, it seems to put the body in a viable sleep state. I remember feeling pins and needles spread from my lungs to my arms, and as I sat with my eyes closed, I more or less went into an instant trance like state. You gain a sense of awareness you haven't had before, as if you are dreaming the final layers of the dream state. This happens rapidly as the effects are short term. You stay completely awake while some part of you, more the physical part, has fallen completely asleep. This puts you in a state of balance and you can have the open door to the experience that proceeds.
It really just looks like you are sitting looking around a world you've never been with your eyes closed. Much like wearing VR goggles without, actually wearing them. For this Experience I was with my friends and, one was the sitter, the others were participants as well. I was in a room, and I sat of a pillar of pillows and was given a pipe with tobacco and Salvia, and a lighter of course. As I inhaled this is immediately when I felt and became highly aware of my lungs. It was as if they were falling asleep. This makes sense as Salvia isn't far off from the Mint family of leaves, that probably accounts for the lung reaction. Once that happened I closed My eyes and Saw an Alex Grey painting, pretty Much. I was seeing the hall of faces, That's the best I can describe, I will add Images as the bottom. I felt like I was flying through time, rather time was moving through me. It felt like soft blankets being flapped past my face with the gentlest of caress as if they were playing cards being shuffled with a deck in each hand.
Then I had a vision as if in a dream, My head poked out of a wall and I saw a hand fall from the side of a stretcher going down a hallway. then I pulled my head back and was in an abyss, slowly feeling my body return to the room I was in.
After a few months, I was given the remaining Salvia. I didn't touch it for a while knowing it was not something recreational. When I did decide to induce the dream of Salvia again, I remember having A scene from the Inferno; specifically, Canto 32 Verse 75 through 100. I was sitting up on my bed and felt as if giant sphere had descended onto my head and It was of rotating energy, It seemed to definitely be moving. From above I could hear entities laughing about how I wasn't fully through and only the top of my head was in their world, up to about my eyebrows. I asked them to pull me up, but they declined laughing at the sight of me, as it were. I remember they wanted to toy with my third eye. so they opened it up and proceeded to play around. Soon the experience wore off and for a while I could still "hear them".
The actual problems began when I started "Micro-dosing" Salvia in full sized Blunts. I understand there are already a plethora of chemicals involved in Weed alone, yet, there are probably more in a dutch blunt wrap. Combine that with the vast range of the scientifically unknown of Salvia Divinorum and you can't expect what would occur. No one knows for sure, but this is my account.
I expected some type of hit like a full trip, and that never happened, I was quite functional. My eyes did not see a new world, and Everything seemed perfectly normal. I had my usual thoughts, albeit a bit clearer, they weren't alarming. It felt as if the synapses in my brain were being organized. Much like a mental DE-fragmentation. I could recall any memory with avid clarity, I could speak in clear meaningful sentences. Things made sense.
After a while of sustaining this super power which at one blunt lasting about a week, I started maintaining it. this, plus smoking weed, everyday, in between made the situation even more, eerie. I started living in real time. That isn't something you want to do. I had this eerie sense after a while that people were speaking to me as if in a show trying to coarse me into the right lines. Everything had resonance. It was tough to not feel paranoid. Imagine you living in a show where you forgot the script you had given to everyone. I felt like the center of everything. If someone on the train wiped their nose a certain way, Id look at everyone else to see if it was me who smelt. If in conversation someone said they hadn't showered in a while, I would feel as though they knew I hadn't since a day ago. It makes everything feel like it's in italics. Whatever signs you believe in will stand out to you ten fold after such an experience.
Once I ran out, the feeling would steadily coast as I used weed and I became extremely suspicious of everyone, and everything. This also applied to my memories. To the Media.
Honestly. The world Means what you personally want it to mean, so any sign you see pointing you in the right direction is you validating to yourself that you are right, by picking out a visual cue that gives you dopamine and reinforces the habit of having those types of thoughts. I know it wont be for everyone, and not everyone will report a similar experience as this, But I highly advise against using Salvia with Weed. If you have anxiety or paranoia it can create strong adverse effects. However, If you are a writer, or a painter, it may inspire a whole new world of vision for you to play with through your own medium. I do advise trying Salvia at least once in life. It is an amazing experience.
Proceed with Caution.
I will also note that there was a moment where I felt I broke free from all my addictions. I remember making the actual choice to smoke weed again instead of just having it and smoking it like clock work. I had also cut down. I felt I didn't need anything as much after this experience which is good, and also bad, when it makes you seem without ambition. However, the major key to everything, is making a choice. Ultimately.
